Distract the Pain

I think to some extent we are all in pain. Emotional, physical, or spiritual. Never just one kind. That pain demands attention like a small child. Give it your undivided attention for 15 minutes, nurture it, console it, validate it…. then tell it you have to take care of other needs too. Needs that will provide relief, peace, happiness… solutions. Go on to make someone else’s day. Reach out to someone else with a smile and a kind gesture.
